Mafia 2010 Families!

In D/FW the nine major families, each with one Don or head of family:

  • Denton Swing Families: Luciano, Lansky, Bonnano
  • DSDS Families: Columbo, Gambino, Genovese
  • FWSDS Families: Lucchese, Dragna, Ardizzone

Denton Swing Dance: A young but strong organization with lots of college and high school students. The families here are considered some of the best in D/FW due to their size and have the least conflict.

Mafia
The Luciano Family of Denton: “‘Don Wade Martin’”
  • Considered one of the most powerful in D/FW, The Luciano family has the objective of taking over the metroplex. This family will make an example of you if you cross them. They helped establish ‘The Commission’ and many of the other families dislike them for that reason. The Luciano Family has an Alliance with the Lansky Family of Denton.
Mafia
The Lansky Family of Denton: “‘Don Nick Speed’”
  • The Lanskys have always been considered small in numbers but effective in power. While mostly running Denton, they have been known to spread outside their sphere of influence, causing some tensions. They have a strong competition with the Dragna Family of Fort Worth, however it hasn’t developed into anything serious. The Lansky Family has an Alliance with the Luciano’s of Denton.
Mafia
The Bonnano Family of Denton: No Don At This Time.
  • No Family In Denton At This Time.

Dallas Swing Dance Society: This is an established and strong organization – with a well rounded age group and strong numbers. The families here are the establishment for D/FW and little is done without them having a word on it.

Mafia
The Columbo Family of Dallas:"‘Don Jonathan Schlimme’”
  • The Columbo Family of Dallas is a well respected group of Sicilian Americans who have established themselves in the D/FW area. They put great effort into working with the Lucianos in establishing the Commission and feel they have benefited from the cooperation. The thorn in their side is the Ardizzone Family of Fort Worth, whom they have been Family Feuding with forever. The Columbo Family keeps close connections to other families as well, and they have a strong alliance with the Gambino Family of Dallas.
Mafia
The Gambino Family of Dallas:“‘Donnas Stefany Bales’”
  • The Gambino Family is a well respected group of Sicilian Americans who have found a place in the D/FW area. They have done their best not to feud with other families, but this has not earned them trust among the established Columbo Family or Luciano Family. For some reason whenever there is drama taking place, someone in the Gambino family tends to be involved. The Gambino Family has a strong alliance with the Columbo Family of Dallas.
Mafia
The Genovese Family of Dallas: No Don At This Time
  • No Family In Dallas At This Time.

Fort Worth Swing Dance Syndicate: The innovated approaches of the Fort Worth families have made them a force to keep an eye on. It is the Fort Worth families who created a need for “The Commission” and the Fort Worth Swing Dance Syndicate who started the Mafia conflicts.

Mafia
The Lucchese Family of Fort Worth: No Don At This Time
  • No Family In Fort Worth At This Time.
Mafia
The Dragna Family of Fort Worth:“‘Don Alan Fowlds’”
  • The Dragna Family of Fort Worth has influence that comes from the west. Their godfather in a distant city challenged them to take over Fort Worth and then D/FW, and while not really interested in The Commission, the Dragnas say they play ball. The Dragna’s have had a strong competition going with the Lansky Family of Denton, but it hasn’t turned into anything serious, yet. The Dragna Family has an Alliance with the Ardizzone Family of Fort Worth.
Mafia
The Ardizzone Family of Fort Worth: “‘Don Ryan Wheeler’”
  • The Ardizzone Family of Fort Worth is new to the D/FW area, and while they have established themselves as a power, they have also had to make alliances due to poor relations with the Columbo Family of Dallas. For that reason the Ardizzone Family quickly made an Alliance with the Dragna Family of Fort Worth, and agreed to participate in The Commission. However conflicts still developed and the Ardizzones are currently in a Family Feud with the Columbo Family of Dallas.

What is “The Commission?”

The Commission is an arrangement between three or more Dons to come together at a predefined location to ‘talk’ about territories and easing conflict. The first commission was between five major families and was a peaceful communication. However, all commissions since that time have broken out in conflict. If Dons establish commission locations and dates, they are not at safe zones, and often fighting breaks out.

Organized Crime - American Mafia

Keeping a relatively low profile, the national organized crime syndicate received little interference from the FBI, headed by J. Edgar Hoover (1895–1972). Fearing a poor showing against the underworld, Hoover chose not to battle organized crime. Hoover insisted the mob did not exist in the United States. Organized crime grew and prospered across the country.More…
